As with the rampant increase in diabetes, obesity, and high blood pressure, the incidence of kidney disease in the United States is rising at an alarming rate. As this devastating disease progresses, a patient faces the choices only of dialysis, transplant, or death.

This broadcast length documentary follows the lives of real people as they prepare and wait for a life−saving kidney transplant. Experts from multiple fields are interviewed and provide information that every American needs to know.

While an educational journey describing the causes and treatments of kidney disease, this movie tells a story sure to raise hope and leaves audiences with the inspiration and knowledge to lead healthier, more joyous lives.

Our Mission

The Transplant and Kidney Health Outreach Project (TAKE HOPE) was created to produce Public Service Announcements and Documentary Movies intended to educate the public about the ever−increasing risk of Kidney Disease, how to screen for and prevent the disease, the realities of dialysis, and the miracle of organ transplant. One out of nine Americans has Kidney Disease. Because it is often unnoticed in its early stages, less than half of people having chronic Kidney Disease are aware that they have it. In Kidney Disease, as in many diseases, early detection is invaluable. Therefore, raising awareness and providing education have tremendous potential to reduce suffering, to save lives, and to substantially reduce health care costs.
